IMPORTANT QUESTIONS: How does current money/economic system control your life & this world in a way that is at it’s core is systematically unhealthy? What alternative economic systems might actually promote health, peace, social good?
(It’s 2+ hrs, but worth more than most movies you may take time to watch in the theater)
Would love your thoughts.
As I am interested in Peace (personal and global), the end of Poverty, more international collaboration, and innovation that benefits us all — It seems critical to find ways to make economic system support these kinds of things.
What do you think? What is your reaction?
Selfless investment — realizing that sometimes the best investment isn’t in the financial return that you receive but in the building up of an individual or a people. (I personally think that would make a better business strategy as well.)
When scientists become politicians everything will be all right. Every other alternative is a concept of business driven by poor or rich people against each other by one way or another. The world needs a scientist party in every country. They are rational. That’s what the world needs, rational people. By the way, if I will not be stamped as this and that, I have to confess that I liked this video. Thanks for sharing Clint.
I’m not as convinced as those in the movie that Science is as unbiased and impartial as they assume, but I did enjoy how thought provoking the video was.
A lot is happening on Earth at any given time, and for many of us, humanity’s global relationship with the environment is too complex to fully grasp. Just look at this site

The situation will not be sustainable even after one generation in many parts of the world. The events that we are as witnesses nowadays throughout the world are not political but people’s hope to make things better. They think if they change the government all the problems will be solved, but there is no guarantee that the next group of politicians will be more successful to eliminate all problems. Today, the real challenge of the world is that we are running out of resources and the population is growing very fast. If we don’t solve these problems scientifically right now, in two or three generations people will eat each other to survive because there will not be enough food for everyone. Each of us would rather experience peace than suffering. One reason we do not experience as much peace as we would like is the result of how we see things, the interpretations we put on our experience. If we see things through the eyes of fear and anxiety, caught in judgment or frustration, then nothing will happen until it is too late to turn the clock back. We have two choices; 1- Relying that governments can solve all the problems which is naïve, because they don’t represent all the people but only a group of people. They put all of their efforts to satisfy the people who vote to them. 2- Letting science help all the people, poor, rich, black, white, yellow and red.
Landing on the moon seemed to be impossible for those who watched the first generation of science fiction films but the next generation landed on moon. This is the same this video, many of what you see here maybe don’t become a reality but some of them will be. That is the power of science.
To Sean S:
The idea of inviting the scientists to get more involved at the level of governance is good. But one has to think well about the very basics of democracy. Democratic governments work under the assumption that Man can decide about his destiny and is NOT AN ANIMAL. He has the freedom of choice. Scientists seem all to agree that Man is an animal and should understand better how to fit in the animal world picture. If scientists were to take the lead, this scientific position would certainly change a lot the idea we have about democracy, wouldn’t it? Scientocracy ?
