Questions about Identity: Who are You? And Why do you think so?
Joensuu, Finland, recently seemed to double its size with visitors — in hosting the 33rd annual European Juggling Convention. Some incredible shows (the fire juggling was my favorite), but what was most interesting to me was the jugglers themselves.
Walking on the street, it was fun to see the visitors with baggy pants and dreadlocks, or top hats and vests on. It was interesting to see how many there were, and to observe how even though they spoke all different languages (French, German, Spanish, etc), they had developed at least somewhat of a shared look & identity.
I started to wonder more about how people come to think about themselves and their identity (e.g. “I am a juggler”).
So just for fun — give your First few answers to this, without thinking too much:
– Who are you?
– And why do you think so?
An old soul on a spiritual journey towards enlightenment on this never ending quest for happiness
I dint think this I feel this…
may be i am too simple, but my first thinking was:
I am Anna Gimbitskaya, because my parents gave me this name=)
I am in discovery; discovering the things I am not, in order to know who I truly am. I am burning off a lot of karma from eons so that in this lifetime I can discover the bliss that I am.
When will you explain? I am so curious.
When I thought for a second I got this answer :
Who r you ? I AM A HUMAN BEING.
Why do i think so ? BECAUSE I AM A HUMAN BEING.
may be if i give more thought then answer might have been different as your question is very subjective.
Cogito ergo sum… I am whoever I think I am.

something that likes mysteries :). Because there is a thrill to what I don’t know that makes me feel alive.
A person would think they know the answer to this until they read your second question…which somehow has the tricky-ness of making one wonder if they should reconsider…thanks to you I don’t know anymore! =oP (jk.) (I think.) (no really. jk.) (crap).
Thanks everyone for your thoughts! I’m not sure about it, but I heard someone say that identity is one of the most difficult things to change.
It just seems like such a powerful thing — how we come to “know” what we think we know about who we are.
Seems to be such a big factor in how we feel about ourselves, (and how we act in relation to others and the world).
I am the strength of the mountain, the peace of the river and the light of the morning sun. As a son of god I stand as the nobility of the universe, and ambassador of truth, light and love.
