To me, the "how" question assumes there is a way to do it, and so your brain just starts working on "how". The "wouldn't it be cool if" question is fun, but has this element of doubt that perhaps it might not happen. Perhaps that is why the HMWI feels better? It is amazing how much difference the wording of a question can make. :) Fun thoughts Jason.
